MP9 mgmnt system required

heya zoops...

anyone know where i'd be able to pick up a complete MP9 system in the cape town area...
made a shyte load of calls and cant find anywhere. any help would be appreciated!

  • okay so its sorted... got the parts and got the dude who's gonna chuck it in BUT while the new head is out should i have it sent away for porting, polishing and flowing...? and if so... how much would a jobbie like that cost me? anyone have any ideas?

  • thanks guys... found a dude selling complete mp9 (atleast i think its complete lol). R1800. looks like its in a great condition. complete mp9 head along with intake manifold, injectors, fuel rail, throttle, regulator and mp9 box. cheapest by far, so i thought what the hell lets take it before it goes. cleaned it up now for 'out with the old and in with the ........semi new' lol

  • It's not wot you know....it's who you know. Try Alan [083 442 1122]. He organised my computer box with fully marked and prep'd loom. It's basically plug and play. Haven't had a single problem with mine. He'll give you good info also.

  • Maybe first send the head away for porting and polishing if u wanna extra bit then if u have a Fuel injection original GTi already you dont need much just get the head intake fuel rail with injectors induction pipe and 90 degree bend to dodge the brake booster bottle and a cone filter.once all that is fitted you can rather get management be it dicktator gotech or perfect power they will all work dont still bother with standard ecu they not gona give you the power u want management Fitted and supply at RBT performance is R5500 or something like that

  • Thanks guys. will make a coupla more calls and see where it takes me. @stevo i will give enzo a shout its well worth a try... @chaos thanks for the run down bud, lotsa guys kept telling me all sorts of things. i have very little knowlege about fms' so i wasnt really sure what all i would need or what would be the best option to go from k-jet. thanks again!!!

  • Sorry then i guess that having done the conversion before i dont know what im talkin about... the intake, injectors everything is different, thats why u need a mp9 head

  • Hey Nixxin. hope u can find what u looking for. I did the conversion on my ol Jetta CLi, as I also had trouble with my K-Jet. It is quite a job to do, but well worth it. You gonna need a MP9 head, intake manifold, throttle, fuel rail, injectors, harnass, fuel pressure regulator and MP9 box. but unless you can find the 1.8i's ecu, then u gonna need a piggy back chip to get it running properly. My advice would be to rather get the mp9 head and stuff, and run an aftermarket management system like Diktator. Oh and you might need a new distributor and coil.

  • thanks bud... apparently my kjet management system his buggered. had the car by Steve's after i started getting some weird issues with it. noticed after driving 30 ish mins then she flutters like mad, revs drop to about 900RPM and when putting foot down she just dies out. thought maybe its the lift off or fuel pump. they tested it using different lift off and fuel pump but it still gave problems. after it came off dyno they called to say the management system is screwed so now i gotta make a plan and have it sorted. any help with this issue would be appreciated!!!!
